Joseph Machen
About
Joseph Machen is an Australian pianist and singer who has quickly become one of Brisbane's most in-demand jazz musicians. Having developed a strong classical foundation with Dr. Mitchell Leigh in his teenage years, Joe went on to complete his Bachelor of Music in 2022, with mentors including Sean Foran, Steve Newcomb, James Sandon, and Dr. Jeff Usher. Joe has also learned from Australian jazz piano greats Barney McAll and Paul Grabowsky.

Joe can be seen performing at several regular venues in Brisbane and the surrounding area, including Emporium Hotel Southbank, Inchcolm Hotel, JMI Live, Walrus Club, Brisbane Jazz Club, Felons, Queen Street Mall, Miss Demeanour, and Proud Henry's.

Joseph has received an offer to study at the Tribeca Jazz Institute in New York City, in April 2025.
